The Johnstone Strait Killer Whale Interpretive Centre Society is a registered charitable society with the mission of public education on marine mammals and the marine environment. We operate out of the Whale Interpretive Centre (WIC), an educational facility located in Telegraph Cove, BC, within the traditional territories of the Kwakwaka’wakw.

The WIC has two employment opportunities available for the 2026 summer season! Details on the roles and their requirements are below.

Interpreter - 2026

The WIC is hiring one person to fill the role of Interpreter for the 2026 summer season. This position supports the WIC's education mission by providing interpretive talks to guests and by creating social media posts and text for the WIC's monthly newsletter.

The WIC is hiring one person to fill the role of Interpreter and Collections Assistant for the 2026 summer season. This position supports the WIC's education mission by providing interpretive talks to guests and supports the management of the WIC's collection through the entry of specimens into its collection database.
