Meet the WIC Team
Ella
This is Ella's first year at the Whale Interpretive Centre where she works in the role of Interpreter.
Her previous work experience in the North Island was as a member of the Robson Bight Warden Program based on West Cracroft Island. In this role, Ella was responsible for monitoring, collecting data, and educating visitors about the boundaries of the Robson Bight (Michael Bigg) Ecological Reserve, the Be Whale Wise Guidelines, and the Marine Mammal Regulations in BC.
Growing up on Vancouver Island influenced her love for being on the water, whether that's paddleboarding, fishing, kayaking, whale watching, or swimming. When not on (or in) the water, Ella enjoys reading, watching movies, and going on "side quests" with friends.
When asked what she is most excited about this season, Ella said:
"This summer, I am most excited about being a part of the rebuilding of the Whale Interpretive Centre. To be contributing to its future and becoming a part of its history is a dream."
